In 2018, Taqnyat Al-Hayat Company equipped the College of Medicine at the University of Duhok with advanced medical training solutions. This initiative strengthened the college’s educational infrastructure and provided medical students with modern tools to develop essential practical skills. By supplying cutting-edge training equipment and providing technical support, the company reaffirmed its mission to enhance medical education and support healthcare development in Iraq.
The University of Duhok was established on October 31, 1992, by a resolution of the Kurdistan Region’s parliament to meet the growing demand for higher education. It began with two colleges—Medicine and Agriculture—with fewer than 220 students in total. Over the years, the university has expanded significantly, reaching nine faculties and 18 schools, and is now considered one of Iraq’s leading public universities. In 2025, it ranked #140 in the Arab Region, reflecting its steady progress and academic reputation.
